Candidates Night 2021

Leadership Upper Arlington is hosting Candidates Night, Thursday, Oct. 7, 6-9 p.m. at the Upper Arlington Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Rd. 

The free event is open to the public and provides UA residents an opportunity to meet and hear from local candidates running for office. There will be an informal open house in the lobby of the MSC from 6-7 p.m. where the public has an opportunity to personally connect with candidates. 

Local news anchor for ABC6/Fox 28, Kurt Ludlow, will moderate a question-and-answer forum with local candidates including City Council and School Board candidates. The forum will occur in the Council Chambers from 7-9 p.m. 

Questions will be formulated prior to the forum based on public input and current issues. LUA encourages attendees to submit questions prior to the event via email to: info@leadershipua.org. Questions will be accepted until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6. 

Upper Arlington residents will vote on or before Nov. 2. on the Police & Fire Pension Levy, seven candidates running for four City Council seats and five candidates vying for two seats on the Board of Education. Early voting starts Oct. 5 and the deadline to register to vote is Oct. 4. Learn more ohiosos.gov.

City Council Candidates include: Kathy AdamsBrian Close, incumbent; Michele Hoyle, incumbent; Ukeme Awakessien JeterJim Lynch, incumbent; Stacy McIntire and Andrej Rotter.  

Board of Education candidates include two incumbents, Carol Mohr and Scott McKenzieLiz EastonNidhi Satiani and Lou Sauter.
