LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS

Take a closer look at how UA works.
And develop your own leadership potential.

Leadership Upper Arlington provides two programs designed to educate and motivate participants to get more involved in our community. For adults who live or work in Upper Arlington, we offer an eight-month Adult Program. We also offer a four-month High School Program for students who live or attend school in Upper Arlington. Each is uniquely programmed to engage participants and open their eyes to the potential of deeper community involvement.

Adult Program

Perfected over 30 years, the Adult Program is available for those who live or work in Upper Arlington and are looking to get more involved in the community.

When you participate in the Adult Program, you will:

  • Enhance your leadership capabilities

  • Gain a better understanding of how the city of Upper Arlington operates

  • Extend your network and build connections with local leaders

  • Take a step toward deeper civic engagement

Think the Adult Program is for you? Registration for the next class will open in the summer and applications will be accepted until end of August.

High School Program

The Leadership UA High School Program is designed for high school freshmen living or attending school in Upper Arlington.

Through speakers, activities, and projects, participants grow their leadership skills as they advance in school, participate in extracurricular activities, and begin to consider professional paths. Over four months, participants will develop as leaders, make new friends, and be exposed to non-profit organizations and the people they help. It’s also a great way for students to meet new people who live in the area and gain confidence.

Students who participate in the High School Program will:

  • Get exposure to ideas and habits that great leaders share

  • Meet a diverse set of peers from around the community

  • Gain service hours in a shared community project

Do you know an Upper Arlington High School freshman that would excel in this program? Forward them our High School Program application so they can apply during our next cycle.

“I did Leadership UA so I could give to others. I got to do that, while gaining so much for myself in the process.”
