THE HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM
Introducing local 9th graders
to the value of leadership.
Our High School Program promotes leadership development with exposure to speakers and activities for our next generation of leaders. The program encourages local students to develop leadership skills as they advance in high school, participate in extracurricular activities, and begin to consider professional paths. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to provide volunteer service to the City of Upper Arlington.
Participants for our High School Program are 9th grade students who live or attend school in Upper Arlington. We are looking for students who:
Desire to become leaders in their school and community
Want to discover new skills
Like to have fun and make new friends
Are willing to make a difference in your school, team, club, and community
Participation in the program includes:
Hands-on leadership training
Field trips to local non-profit organizations
A community service-focused group project
Most two-hour sessions are held on Sundays at the Upper Arlington Municipal Center and various community locations. Each new class kicks off with a session that includes parents. The program starts in January and ends in April.
If you or someone you know is a good fit for the High School Program, encourage them to keep an eye out on our application to see when our next cycle begins.
