Leadership UA Youth Program FAQ
Leadership UA’s Youth Program is exclusively for ninth graders who live in Upper Arlington, regardless of which school they attend.
LUA’s Youth Program provides outstanding freshmen with the opportunity to tap into their leadership skills so that they can pursue an active role in the future of Upper Arlington. Throughout the course of the program, youth leaders are challenged to define leadership strengths and exercise problem solving skills. An added bonus is that participation in Leadership UA is powerful accomplishment to include on your college resume.
Tuition for Leadership UA Youth is $250 and scholarships may be available. The youth classes meet twice monthly on Sunday afternoons from January through May. Our sessions focus on community service organizations and discovering the possibilities available in all of us. Leadership skills are addressed through communication, accountability, ethics and goal setting.
During the program, the youth identify needs within our community and implement a plan to address some of those needs. The program concludes with this annual day of service.
