Outreach Events

Candidate Night

As a nonpartisan organization, Leadership UA sponsors an annual Candidate Night to encourage and facilitate dialogue within our community. We sponsor these evenings because we see value in increasing information and dialogue in our community. Candidate Night is held in the fall prior to elections and provides residents the opportunity to interact with the candidates and learn more about issues they’ll be voting on.

Leadership Panel

Every year, Leadership UA organizes a thought provoking panel of community leaders to consider the secrets of innovative leadership. Leadership Panel night is hosted in conjunction with the Leadership UA Adult Program but is open to residents and is usually scheduled in December or January.

Adult Program Community Project

In our adult leadership classes, participants identify needs within our community and create class projects to fulfill these needs within our community.  Depending upon the scope of the project, our classes may complete more than one project. These projects often include an event and usually occur in the spring just prior to class graduation.

Youth Program Community Project

The Leadership UA Youth Program includes a day of service to be completed by the class members which has included events as well as other community service projects.

Adult Program Graduation and Award Ceremony

In late spring each year Leadership UA honors the graduates of the Adult Program as well as honoring select community members through the Margine Moul Award and the Service to Youth Award. This is a ticketed fundraising event but is open to anyone interested in celebrating the accomplishments of these individuals.
